- Associate of Arts (University of Cincinnati)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (Northern Kentucky University)
Mrs. Horton began teaching in 2001, working with special needs students in a public school system, just south of Dayton, Ohio. Her family moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 2004, where she taught first grade for four years at a charter school in Bonita Springs. She later taught first grade at Treasure Coast Classical Academy, where she was a founding member of the faculty at this Hillsdale K-12 member school. Mrs. Horton and her family returned to Ohio from South Florida in 2021 to be closer to family.
Mrs. Horton and her husband have four boys: Cameron (21), Myles (17), Davis (15) and Karsen (14). “I am extremely excited to be a part of Cincinnati Classical Academy,” she says. “I believe in the mission of developing the minds and nourishing the hearts of our students through a content-rich curriculum in the classical liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in moral character and civic virtue!”
