Ms. Justine Cefalu
Third Grade Teacher
- Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Studies: Conservation & Biodiversity (Yale University)
- Master of Science, Childhood Education (Ithaca College)
Ms. Cefalu grew up in Cincinnati in a house full of art and music. She attended many different kinds of schools, each of which introduced her to wonder and love of the world through languages, music, literature, and writing. She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Yale University and her interests continued to be wide-ranging, from folk music to French to plant identification. She worked for two years as a science and English teacher at a German-English dual-language elementary school in Brooklyn, NY which inspired her love of teaching and the joy of sharing her interests and curiosity with her students. Now, after a living for a year-and-a-half in Senegal, West Africa on a mission, and a year in Ithaca, NY getting her Masters in Childhood Education, she is returning home. The many threads of her life as a student and a teacher have led her to Cincinnati Classical Academy and she is very excited to be part of a new and passionate school community. When not at school, she can be found playing fiddle tunes, contra dancing, going for walks and cooking for friends.
