Dante and Discourse: Introducing Parent Nights!

Our enhanced monthly speaker series aims to become an integral part of the CLASSICAL community’s educational experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for classical education and providing an opportunity for some convivial conversation. One Tuesday each month, we cordially invite CLASSICAL parents to join us for a special reception in the Old Narthex at our Siebenthaler campus. This gathering precedes each talk in the Veritatis Splendor series, offering a unique opportunity for parents to connect, converse, and cultivate relationships within our school community.

The pre-talk gatherings serve multiple purposes beyond simple socializing. They offer a chance for intellectual engagement, allowing parents to participate in stimulating discussions that set the stage for the evening’s topic and enhance the overall experience. Moreover, these informal conversations with fellow parents and staff provide insight into our school’s mission and the principles of classical education. All of this takes place in a convivial atmosphere, complete with refreshments and food.

We’re excited to kick off this year’s series with a truly remarkable event. On Tuesday, September 24, we invite you to join us for a reception at 6:00 PM in the Old Narthex of our Siebenthaler campus, followed by the main event at 7:00 PM. Our distinguished guest, Dr. Stephen Smith from Hillsdale College, will guide us through Dante Alighieri’s masterpiece, the Divine Comedy. This event promises to be an intellectual adventure, exploring the depths of one of literature’s greatest works.
