Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes that follow a curriculum set by the College Board. These courses are designed to provide students with the opportunity to experience college-level coursework while still in high school. At the end of an AP course, students have the option to take an AP exam, which assesses their knowledge and understanding of the course material. Depending on their performance on the exam, students may earn college credit or advanced placement in college courses. AP courses are known for their rigor and depth of content, challenging students to think critically and analyze complex information in the chosen subject area. It’s important to note that, while CLASSICAL offers AP courses, it will never compromise its own mission or values to meet any requirements set forth by the College Board or AP curriculum.
