“The Classical Odyssey” will be offered for CLASSICAL students between their junior and senior years. This immersive ten-day summer trip to Greece and Italy offers students a unique opportunity to explore the rich history, culture, and legacy of classical civilizations while earning academic credit.

An Interdisciplinary Educational Experience

In Italy, students will delve into the heart of the Roman Empire, exploring the majestic ruins of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Pantheon in Rome. They will wander through the ancient streets of Pompeii, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, and stand in awe before the masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture in Florence.

“The Classical Odyssey” is more than just a sightseeing tour—it is an interdisciplinary educational experience that integrates history, literature, art, and philosophy. Students will engage in guided discussions, reflective journaling, and collaborative projects that deepen their understanding of the classical world and its enduring relevance to contemporary society.

EARN ACADEMIC CREDIT

Upon completion of the trip, students will have the opportunity to earn academic credit by submitting a reflective essay or project that synthesizes their experiences and insights gained during “The Classical Odyssey.” This credit can be applied towards their senior year coursework, providing a tangible academic benefit to complement the enriching cultural and personal growth experienced during the journey.
