Ms. Mari Vredeveld

Student Services Aide

  • Bachelor of Science (International Studies | The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
  • Master of Education (Elementary and Special Education | DePaul University)

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Mrs. Vredeveld is proud to call Cincinnati her home. She began teaching in 2007, and her experience includes teaching students with special needs in public schools and homeschooling her own children using the classical method of education. It brings her great joy to watch students begin the process of becoming critical thinkers and lifelong learners. She is thrilled to have found a school that embodies what she feels education should look like and is eager to invest in the students and the community at Cincy Classical. When she is not in the classroom, the Chicago native enjoys bonfires with her family, experimenting with recipes, tackling DIY projects, and finding hidden gems at local thrift stores.  She quickly developed a love for many aspects of Cincinnati- the Reds, the zoo, and the friendly people.  Acquiring a taste for the local chili will take longer.

Favorite Classical Quote

“Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. It may not be difficult to store up in the mind a vast quantity of facts within a comparatively short time, but the ability to form judgments requires the severe discipline of hard work and the tempering heat of experience and maturity.”
